Man strangles 4-year-old son to death in Nalgonda, held

A man was arrested for the brutal killing of his four-year-old son on Friday here at Thirmalaraini Gudem of Shali Gouraram mandal of Nalgonda district.

According to Shali Gouraram SI Raju, Kanakaiah got separated from his wife Swapna and is staying with his Akshay (4) at Thirmalaraini Gudem. While Swapna was residing in Hyderabad with her daughter Akshitha (6). On Thursday, Kanakaiah's uncle Ramulu spoke to Swapna over the phone and asked her to take Akshay as it is getting difficult to Kanakaiah to manage work and look after his son.

Enraged over it, Kanakaiah strangled his son while he was asleep. Based on the complaint lodged by his uncle, the police took Kanakaiah into custody.

"Kanakaiah was not interested to send his son with wife and killed him," said the police.
