Manchala Trust targets to plant one lakh saplings in Nizamabad

Nizamabad: Many people are getting inspired by the State government's flagship programme Haritha Haram and started thinking about environment protection.

Manchala Shankaraiah Gupta Charitable Trust of Nizamabad had purchased a planting machine at a cost of Rs 1 lakh to take up Haritha Haram.

The Trust members had planted about 38,000 plants during the present rainy season with the help of the machine.

Manchala Trust planted saplings with the help of the machine at Keshapur village on Tuesday along with Sarpanch Malle Vanitha and sub-Sarpanch Narsaraddy and panchayat secretary Vishnu Vardhan. Trust Manager Gyanendar said that the machine had planted 500 saplings and the persons, who came to see the drive, also planted one sapling each. As a result of this, their target of planting more than 500 saplings in one day is increasing. He recalled that there were a number of trees in the district.

Haritha Haram programme was conducted on Monday under the leadership of Indore Kshatriya Samaj (Patkari Sangham). Kshatriya Samaj Nizamabad district president Gatadi Bhushan, general secretary Dondi Ramakrishna and Kshatriya Caste Association leaders Kategar Omprakash, Vishwanath Tirupati and Pandit Vinod Chandu Shashi Bhushan have planted over 500 plants with the help of planting machine.

They have planted 500 saplings in Sirpur village, 300 in Tandem, 200 in the Government ITI college, six in Nizamabad Diet College and 200 in Gautam Nagar, besides planting on the roadside. The Manager said that saplings were planted on either side of the road for a stretch of 3,000 km.
