Mancherial: Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana inspects Maoist-effected areas
Mancherial: Ramagundam Commissioner of Police V Satyanarayana on Friday inspected the Maoist-effected areas as the Maoists are celebrating 19th anniversary of Peoples Liberation Guerilla Army (PLGA).
The naxals are observing the PLGA anniversary from December 2 to 8 and have called on people to take part in large numbers and released posters in several villages causing concern to the police.
In this context, the Police Commissioner had visited Kothapalli and Neelvai under Chennur rural police station limits in Mancherial district and inquired about the situation. He ordered the department to tighten the security arrangements to prevent any untoward incidents. He instructed the police station staff to be alert always and never neglect anything that is suspicious. Two grey hounds' parties, eight special parties and 10 counter action parties have been deployed and combing and ambush area domination are being carried out.
The CP said that security arrangements were made to avoid even a minor incident and to nab the accused, who resort to crime. He instructed the police personnel working in Moist-effected areas not to go alone anywhere. The department had increased security to VIPs under the Commissionerate limits and instructed them not to visit remote rural areas. He informed that they have been working with the cooperation of neighbouring State police.
