Mancherial: Prevent spurious cotton seeds, demands CPI (ML)

Mancherial: CPI (ML) New Democracy leaders staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Friday demanding the government prevention of selling of sub-standard cotton seeds in the market and to provide seeds and fertilisers on subsidy.

Their other demands include that the government should give loan waiver to the farmers with immediate effect; to provide bank loans to shift cultivation farmers also; and to provide agricultural tools free for the welfare of the famers.

The leaders explained that bankers are not sanctioning new crop loans and asking the farmers to clear their old loans to get a new one.

Later, CPI (ML) New Democracy leaders Raju, Thota Rajeshwar, Mekala Mallanna, Nissar, Jadi Devaraj and others submitted a representation to the Administrative Officer at the Collectorate in Mancherial.
