Mantris & babus take stock of Gajwel development

Gajwel: A high-level delegation praised that the Gajwel people are very fortunate as the town is developing on all fronts. They visited the integrated market, Vaikunta Dhamam and Kalpaka Vanam Urban Parks in the town on Tuesday evening. After review meeting by the CM KCR on 'Pattana Pragathi' at Pragathi Bhawan, Hyderabad, ministers, MLAs, corporations chairmen, municipal chairmen, District Collectors and recently appointed Additional Collectors visited the town.

They watched the photo exhibition organised by the forest department on plantation at Singayapalli in Varghal mandal. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Harish Rao said that 200 acres of forest area were being developed under the Haritha Haram programme. Forests were being developed in two ways as directed by the CM KCR, he said. "Developing the greenery if plants are in the rural and urban areas, and, secondly, under the Japanese model, forests will be developed if there are grounds without plants near the villages," he said. He explained the importance of artificial rejuvenation and natural rejuvenation to the forests. He said the programme for forestry development was a noble endeavour and hoped that forests would be developed in a big way in all districts and constituencies.
