Master Plan focuses on making Warangal best city: Errabelli Dayakar Rao
Warangal: Efforts are on to make the Warangal Master Plan – 2041 a comprehensive one that caters to the needs of all denizens, Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said.
In a review meeting here on Wednesday, the Minister said that they have been working on giving final touches to the master plan.
"Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister for MA&UD K T Rama Rao are very keen to develop Warangal on par with the best cities, hence we wanted the master plan more comprehensive. We are leaving no stone unturned to roll out the master plan that would be useful to future generations," Errabelli said.
The Minister said that the master plan would focus on historical places so that to turn Warangal into a tourism hub. The authorities are focusing on growth corridors, industrial, green and sports zones. "We are taking note of all the 3,500 suggestions received from the people. This apart, the authorities will look into the suggestions made by the people representatives," Errabelli said.
Nodal officers have been appointed constituency-wise and their view will also be examined before rolling out the new master plan, he added. The focus is also on strengthening Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) economically by taking up developmental projects, he said.
Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar, MPs Pasunuri Dayakar, Banda Prakash, Mayor gunda Prakash Rao, MLA Nannapuneni Narender, KUDA former chairman Marri Yadav Reddy Urban and Rural district Collectors Prashanth Jeevan Patil and M Haritha were among others present.
