Hyderabad: As the coronavirus pandemic is grasping its grip day by day the nationwide lockdown is nowhere seen to end soon.

Making many people are anxious over the extending of lockdown, one of them are people who were looking for marriage partners as the lockdown has closed all doors for them to meet their bride / groom and their families in person.

Keeping that in mind, a city based renowned club named Elders Club International Foundation came up with a unique idea to fix marriage alliances over video calls with mutual consent of families and elders.

The matrimonial site, run by the Elders Club International Foundation, allows brides and grooms to meet each other through video conferencing apps like Zoom, Skype and WhatsApp.

So far the club has received around 5,000 entries and applicants from 21 to 90 years of age can enroll themselves for online matchmaking. Seeing the massive entries two separate groups were created, one each for the age group of 21 to 30 years and 30 to 50 years, on WhatsApp.

"Matrimonial agencies outside charge too much and the services they offer are very less. After analysing the entries we share the particulars of the bride or groom on our WhatsApp groups along with age, community, and their profession and interested applicants talk and organise a video conference meeting along with the elders and other family members," said M Krishna Reddy, Managing Trustee Elders Club International Foundation

One has to pay Rs 100 as registration fees and submit their particulars, interested ones can also register on the club's website for a lifetime of Rs 1,000.
