Medak: 10 killed & 15 injured in three road mishaps

Medak: As many as 10 people were killed and 15 others were seriously injured in three different road accidents in Medak district on Monday. A state RTC bus collided with a DCM van at the outskirts of Sangaipet mandal in Kolcharam Mandal. According to sources, the bus was going to Sangareddy from Medak. The DCM van was heading to Yedupayala from Pasalvadi village. Five women died on the spot and a girl succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment. All the victims were travelling in the DCM. They were identified as Chepala Madhavi (40), Manne Manjula (40), Godugu Rajitha (45), BuralaManemma(55), NeeruduDurgamma (45).DigwalMadhurima (9) died in the hospital. The injured were shifted to government hospital in Medak.

District Collector Dharma Reddy visited the hospital and consoled the injured. He assured them of providing all help from the government. He directed the medical staff to extend better service. DM&HO Venkateshwar Rao was also present.

Three people were killed in another incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday morningon the National Highway No 44 near Narsingi village. A Maruti Omni van, which was heading from Hyderabad to Nizamabad, rammed into a stationary lorry parked at Kunal Daba in the outskirts of Narsingi village. The driver of the van, Yerrani Krishna (28), Anji (25) and Pitla Kishtaiah (60) were killed on the spot and two others Kavya and Ajay were seriously injured.The bodies were shifted to Ramayampet Hospital. Narsingi CI Nagarjuna Goud, SI Rajesh said the accident happened as the driver was in intoxicated condition and fast. They said a case was registered and investigation is on.

In another accident that happened at Sweet Heart restaurant in Manoharbad, B Narsaih (24) of Sirgapur village in Sangareddy district was killed.
