Medak continues to reel under hot temperatures
Medak: Severe heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in Medak district for the second day on Thursday, even as rain occurred at isolated places in Telangana. While Medak recorded 42.7 degrees Celsius as the day temperature, both Hakimpet and Dundigal recorded 37 deg C each.
The highest maximum temperature of 43.6 deg C was registered in Khammam and Ramagundam, the Met department bulletin said. The bulletin warned of continuing heat wave conditions in 17 Telangana districts from June 14 to 17.
Hence, public have been advised not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions. According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely at isolated places in the State from June 14 to 17. No large change during the period June 18-20 is the weather outlook.
