Medak district continues to reel under heat waves
Medak: Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in Medak (which recorded day temperature of 40.6 degrees Celsius) among five districts in Telangana during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

While Hakimpet registered 37 deg C as the maximum temperatures Dundigal had 36, according to the Met department bulletin. The highest day temperature of 41.2 deg Cel was recorded in Ramagundam.
In a warning to Telangana, the bulletin said on June 20 heat-wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated pockets in Medak along with Nizamabad, Khammam, Karimnagar and and Nirmal districts along with thunderstorms with gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) and lightning.
According to the bulletin heavy rain very likely at isolated places in the State from June 21 to 23, thanks to conditions becoming favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Telangana.
It said the upper Air cyclonic circulation lies over west-central Bay of Bengal off the north Andhra coast and that a low pressure area is likely to develop over north Bay and its neighborhood during next two-three days.
The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Telangana from June 20 to 23. No large change during the period June 24-26 is the weather outlook.
