Medak town sizzles, records 43 degree Celsius
Medak: In a warning to Telangana, the Met department said that on May 27 thunderstorms with gusty winds up to 40 to 50 kmph are very likely to occur at isolated places in all Telangana districts. Heat wave conditions are likely at isolated pockets in all TS districts.
According to the department bulletin, heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated pockets over all districts in the State on May 28,29 and 30. Public have been advised not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions.
The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places across Telangana on May 27 and on May 31. Dry weather is forecast on May 28 and 29. No large change during the period May 31 and June 2 is the weather outlook.
According to the bulletin, heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in Khammam, Peddapalle and Nizamabad districts during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Sunday. The highest maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius was recorded in Ramagundam, Khammam & Nizamabad.
The other day temperatures in degrees Celsius were: Adilabad, Bhadrachalam, Nalgonda 44 deg C each, Medak 43, Hanmakonda, Hyderabad & Mahabubnagar 42 each, Dundigal 41 and Hakimpet 40.
