Medaram Jatara to be held in Feb 2020
Hyderabad: The biennial Medaram Samakka and Saralamma Jatara for the year 2020 would be organised between February 5 and 8.
The priests of Medaram Jatara conveyed the important dates for conduct of the event to the authorities on Sunday.
The biennial tribal congregation at Medaram in Bhoopalapally would be starting from February 5. Authorities would bring Goddesses Saralamma near 'Gadde' on February 5.
Similarly, on February 6, Goddess Samakka would be brought closed to Gadde. The main jatara would be held on February 7 and conclude on February 8 with Goddesses entering into forest.
Samakka Sarlamma Jatara is the biggest congregation of tribals in Asia and is visited by devotees not only from Telangana but also from the neighbouring States and this year the government expects one crore devotees would attend the jatara.
