Medical profession one of the most sacred: Eatala Rajender
Karimnagar: Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Sunday said that the State government will support the medical profession in the State.
The Minister attended the 3rd State level seminar of IMA, held at V-Convention hall in Karimnagar, as the Chief Guest. The seminar was held under the leadership of IMA State president Dr B Prathap Reddy.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that medical profession was one of the most sacred professions of all, yet doctors in the recent times have been attacked by family members of patients putting the safety of doctors at risk.
The TRS government will give tight security to doctors and hospitals to prevent any untoward incidents, Eatala said.
Due to enormous development in science and technology, the doctors were trying to utilise these developments and provide better treatment patients, he pointed out.
The government was not only providing free medical services to the patients through Aarogyasri but also through Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF). Through CMRF the government was helping poor patients get better treatment, he added.
The Minister appreciated Dr Vijayendar Reddy, who belongs to Karimnagar district, for getting selected as State president of the IMA association.
The IMA will develop further in the coming up days under his leadership, he opined. BC Welfare and Civil Supply Minister Gangula Kamalakar while speaking on the occasion said that one cannot imagine the society without doctors.
Compared to IAS examinations, getting seat in MBBS was more difficult now-a-days.
National president of IMA Rajan Sharma, Secretary A V Asokan, MLAs S Ravi Shankar, Dr Sanjay Kumar, Medial Education Director K Ramesh Reddy, G Srinivas Rao, Dr Bhum Reddy, Dr Raghu Raman, Sanjeev Singh, Shivalingam, T Narsinga Reddy, Vasanth Rao, B N Rao, Doctors Thirupathi Rao, Ramakantha Rao, Madhusudhan Rao and Vijay Mohan Reddy were present along with others.
