Mega job mela in Nizamabad
Nizamabad: More people can find job opportunities through job mela, said Nizamabad Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta after inaugurating free mega job mela in Nizamabad on Thursday. Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) had organised the mela.
Speaking on the occasion, Ganesh Gupta suggested the youth not to waste time by sitting idle and do something always. Job melas help the well-skilled unemployed youth can get a job that meets his qualifications and also at the same time, help the employers to select better human resources.
The MLA suggested the youth not to confine themselves to reading textbooks only but to read books on current topics, politics and others relevant to employment. There are many opportunities for the student or unemployed with good educational qualifications and other skills, he added.
Reminding that foundation was laid IT Hub here last year to boost job opportunities in Nizamabad, Gupta assured that steps are being taken to provide necessary training to complete the work and provide employment opportunities to youth. He also said that a four-lane road is being constructed from Hyderabad to Nizamabad to facilitate easy transport for the arrival of IT companies.
District Collector M Rammohan Rao said separate Telangana State was formed with the target of providing water, funds and jobs and the State government is implementing various schemes to fulfil this target. To make lakhs of lands fertile, the State government had constructed Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, the largest one in the world, he stated. More than 100 school teachers were given appointment letters a month ago, along with making compensatory appointments. As many as 2,200 unemployed people attended the job fair.
Nizamabad and Bhimgal Municipal Commissioners John Samson and Gangadhar, MEPMA Project Director Ramu, former Municipal Corporation Chairperson Akula Sujata, company representatives, youth and others attended the job mela.
