Mulugu: The MLAs, who switched loyalty to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), need to resign from their posts and seek re-election, Mulugu MLA Danasari Anasuya alias Seethakka demanded. Speaking at a protest in front of the Collectorate here on Tuesday, she said that it's shame on defected MLAs, who were elected on Congress' B-form.

"It's even more shameful to claim that merger of defected MLAs with the TRS is constitutional. The MLAs should quit their posts and seek people's mandate again on TRS ticket," Seethakka said. Senior leaders N Kumarawamy, Rajender Goud, M Tirupati Reddy, Banoth Ravichander, Ahmad Pasha, Hari Goud, Chand Pasha and Sudhakar Rao were among others present.

In another development, farmers of Karlapally under Govindraopet mandal led by Seethakka submitted a memorandum to District Collector C Narayan Reddy.

The farmers under the ayacut of Gundlavagu urged the Collector to provide compensation for crop loss.
