Met Dept issues heat wave, thunderstorm warnings for Telangana

Hyderabad: The Met Department on Tuesday predicted that heat wave conditions might prevail at isolated pockets across Telangana State till May 25. It also issued Thunderstorm warning on May 23.

According to India Meteorological Department, heat wave conditions will continue in Telangana State will May 25. Public have been advised not to expose directly to sunlight and take necessary precautions due to heat wave. Meanwhile, heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad and Peddapalle on Tuesday.

A few places like Julurpad of Bhadradri Kothagudem district and Dubbak of Siddipet district also received rainfall on Tuesday.

The highest maximum temperature of 45 Degrees Celsius was recorded at Adilabad, Nizamabad and Ramagundem on Tuesday, followed by 44 Deg. Cel. in Nalgonda and 43 Deg. Cel. in Bhadrachalam, Khammam, Mahabubnagar and Medak districts. The maximum temperature in Hyderabad was 42 Degrees Celsius although 1 mm of rainfall was also recorded in a few parts of State's capital.
