Midjil tragedy: CPI demands 10 lakh aid to kin of each victim
Mahbubnagar: The Communist Party of India demanded that the State government provide ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of each of the victims killed in the road accident at Kottapally village in Midjil mandal on Sunday.
"The Excise Minister Srinivas Goud and Jadcherla MLA Ch Laxma Reddy have visited the spot but failed to announce ex gratia to the victims' families. Besides announcing the aid of Rs 10 lakh to each of the families, the government should provide educational and employment facilities to children and persons of the victims' families," demanded CPI district secretary Paramesh Goud.
While commenting on Central government's decision to scrap Article 370 and 35A, the CPI leader said that the Central government had taken a risky step without taking into confidence the opinions of main opposition party members.
