Minister inaugurates LED street lights in Nirmal
Nirmal: Minister for Endowment, Forest and Environment Allola Indrakaran Reddy laid foundation stones for various development works with an estimation cost of Rs 40 Lakhs in Nirmal district on Friday.
Minister Reddy inaugurated LED street lights at Venkatapur and Manjulapur villages in Nirmal mandal. Stating that he is working to develop the city in all fields, he gave a call to the people to plant saplings under Haritha Haram drive to protect environment and to get pure oxygen. As Venkatapur and Manjulapur villages are merged in municipality, development works with estimation cost of Rs1 crore will be taken up, CC roads and sewerage and other works will also taken up.
370 LED bulbs in Venkatapur and 360 in Manjulapur have been installed. The Minister said that Rs 15 crores have been sanctioned for double road works in Shanthi Nagar and directed the officials to speed up the double road works. Later, he laid foundation stone for CC road works at Gulzar masjid, beef market road.
He assured the people of solving drinking water problems within two months by constructing five big water tanks and will provide taps to every house at a cost of Rs 1. He further informed that Nirmal Market Committee will be developed with Rs 20 lakhs and Rs 2 lakhs will be released additionally for Jama Masjid and underground drainage works in the town.
MPP Rameshwar Reddy, FACS Chairman Ramkishan Reddy, AMC Chairman Dharmaji Rajeshwar,DEE Santosh Kumar and others were present.
