Minister promises KLI water to Peddamandadi farmers

Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy, while taking part in a host of welfare and development works in Wanaparthy district on Saturday promised that he would irrigate the fields of Pamireddypally village in Peddamandadi mandal by filling up the yester year's old wells in the village with Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation waters and supply irrigation water to the surrounding farm lands.

The minister visited various villages under Peddamandadi mandal and laid foundation stones for various development works in the villages. Earlier, he visited Balijapally, Jangamaipally and laid a foundation stone for ' Dahana katika' at the local 'Smashanavaatika'.

"After death every person has to be departed with great respect. For this the State government is committed to build Smashanavaatikas in all the villages in the district. Everyone should support as it is a novel thing," said the Minister.

Later the Minister visited the local school and gram Panchayat office premises and took part in the Harithahaaram programme. He also visited the Yerragadda Thanda and laid the foundation stone for the Anganwadi building.

The minister who visited the Pamireddypally village, inspected the KLI canal works and promised that he would ensure that the large old well in the village is filled with KLI waters.

"We are giving directions to the officials to fill the old well with KLI waters, the villagers can draw the water and use it to irrigate their fields. Necessary funds for pumps and pipelines will also be sanctioned from the government," said the Minister.
