Minorities Welfare Minister reviews arrangements for Christmas celebrations
Hyderabad: Minorities Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar on Friday held a meeting to review arrangements for Christmas celebrations in Telangana next month.
The Minister instructed the officials that the supply of gift packets should be completed before 5th of December to all districts and they should be distributed among destitute and deserving Christians as a gift from Govt of Telangana by 10th of December. He said the arrangements for the Chief Minister's dinner program with members of Christmas community should be made on a priority basis.
Further, for Eminent Christian Awards, applications have been invited from the eligible Eminent Christians till 20th of November for 12 individuals and 6 institutes. He said necessary steps should be taken for laying of the foundation stone of Christian Bhavan by 20th December and for handing over 10 sites consisting of 63 acres and 92 kurtas of burial ground till the end of December.
MLC Rajeshwar Rao, MLA Elwis Stephenson, TSMC Vice Chairman B. Shankar Luke, Advisor to TS Govt (Minorities Welfare) A.K. Khan and other senior officials attended the meeting.
