Miryalaguda: Develop Medaram on the lines of Yadadri, MRPS demands TS govt

Miryalaguda: Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi founder president Manda Krishna Madiga demanded the State government to develop Medraram (Sammakka-Saralamma) of Mulugu district on the lines of Yadadri.

Addressing the media in Miryalaguda on Sunday, Krishna Madiga said the Sammakka-Sarlamma Jatara got a special identity in Asia and added that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao should take special care towards the development of Medaram in all aspects by spending Rs 1,000 crore.

He demanded the CM to make an announcement on development of Medaram before he attends the Jatara on February 7. The MRPS chief announced to organise a protest demonstration at Mulugu on June 6.

He also demanded the State government to announce four days holidays officially for the Jatara akin to Bathukamma festival. In this press meet, MRPS leader Daida Satyam Madiga, Mala Mahanadu leader Tallapalli Ravi and others participated.
