Missing woman found dead in Hussain Sagar

Hyderabad: A young woman who has gone missing in Tukaram Gate was found dead in Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad. The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary and later handed over to the family members.

Going into details, Rani (18), daughter of Anjaiah from Budhanagar is studying Intermediate at Wesley college in West Marredpally. Rani, who went to college on November 21st, didn't return home. With this, the family members lodged a missing complaint at Tukaram Gate police station. On receiving the information, the police have registered a case and initiated the investigation.

On November 23, the Ramgopalpet police have found a dead body of an unknown woman in Hussain Sagar and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for family members identification.

On seeing the news in the paper the next day, the Tukaram Gate police informed the family members and took them to the mortuary. But they could not identify the body as it was swollen.

As days keep on passing, there was no trace of Rani. With this, the police again asked Anjaiah family members to check the body in the mortuary. The family who visited Gandhi mortuary on Monday has identified the body based on the birthmarks. After the post-mortem on Tuesday, the body will be handed over to the family members, police said.
