MLA Harshvardhan Reddy has big dreams for Kollapur

Nagarkurnool: Having in numerous natural resources like rivers, forests, beautifully green mountain and forests the Kollapur constituency is in it a paradise, however, just because of lack of determination and commitment by the earlier leaders, this region has lacking development.

Now that the new, young and dynamic people's representative, Harshavardhan Reddy, who has been given people's mandate and has won with a huge margin of votes against the most senior and stalwart leader of TRS Jupally Krishna Rao, Harshavardhan Reddy has received state wide accolades for his remarkable feat of winning against such a seasoned leader.

Though he had won on the Congress ticket, keeping in view the development aspects for his region, Harshavardhan had recently joined the TRS and is actively working for the welfare and development of the Kollapur people and the region.

"I thank the people of Kollapur who had imposed a deep trust against me and gave their support in election. Now I want return their love, affection and favour in the form of implementation of government schemes to help benefit the poor and at the same time take up the developmental projects.

My major aim is to see that the Somashila-Siddeshwaram bridge is take up and completed in a faster pace and at the same time I want to make Kollapur a tourist and food processing industrial hub," said Harsha vardhan, MLA of Kollapur.

Born and brought up locally from Singotam village, Harshavardhan had done his education up to SSC in Kollapur and later he pursued his higher education and graduation from Hyderabad.

Though Harsha vardhan is not new to politics as his father was a sarpanch of Singotam village, however, with winning the 2018 elections against Jupally Krishna Rao, Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy has become a popular figure amongst the political circles across the state. "Since 2014 onwards I am in the public life, I had taken part in many movements and strived hard to get justice for the Srisailam project oustees.

"As an MLA of Kollapur, am committed to the development of this region. I have two major goals in front of me, one is to make Kollapur a tourism hub and develop the entire region of Somashila to Kollapur area into an eco-tourism hub in the state.

Second major aim is to construct the Somashila Siddeshwaram bridge, third objective is that as Kollapur is known for high quality mango production in the world, I want to establish mango processing and other food processing industries to be set up in Kollapur region," said the Kollapur MLA.
