MLAs merged CLP into TRS to develop their constituencies: MLC Satyavathi Rathod

Hyderabad: TRS leaders on Friday said that the elected Congress MLAs have utilised their Constitutional rights for merging CLP into TRSLP.

Addressing a press conference here MLC Satyavathi Rathod and G Ramchandra Rao said that the Congress MLAs had majority and as per the majority, they have decided to merge CLP with TRS.

Satyavathi Rathod alleged that the Congress leaders were insulting Dalit leaders by stating that they are being purchased like sheeps in the market. She said that the MLAs have decided to join TRS only for development of their constituencies.

The Congress leaders cannot question the rights of the MLAs, she said. She said that people are in favour of TRS and the MPTC and ZPTC polls once again proved that people are for TRS.

G Ramchandra Rao asked what happened to democracy when Congress party took away ten MLAs from TRS during Y S Rajashekara Reddy government. He also asked why the Congress party took away one sitting MP and three MLCs of TRS. He said that questioning Speaker's decision is insulting Constitution and B R Ambedkar.
