MLC Alugubelly Narsi Reddy stages protest for asking to pay toll fee at Panthangi

Chouttuppal (Yadadri-Bhongir): Teacher's MLC Alugubelly Narsi Reddy on Monday staged a protest at Panthangi toll plaza of Choutuppal in Yadadri-Bhongir district when the staff of toll plaza failed to exempt him from toll fee as per the rules.

According to sources, MLC Narsi Reddy was heading towards Hyderabad from Nalgonda on Monday and he was stopped and asked to pay toll fee while passing through one of the gates of the plaza even though he has shown his official MLC ID card to the toll plaza staff.

The toll plaza said his name was not registered in their computer data and asked him to pay the fee. Expressing angst over this, the MLC staged a protest at the toll gate.

Soon after receiving information, local police rushed to the spot and enquired with the MLC about the issue.

The MLC aid he did not took any gunmen for his security and has been facing the same problem from the staff of Panthangi toll plaza staff while crossing it at regular intervals despite informing the staff that he was an MLC.

He further informed that he could not get ID card even after he applied for Fastag.

After getting know about the protest, GMR manager Sridhar Reddy intervened and solved the matter amicably and informed the MLC that he would not be obstructed in future.
