Monsoon likely to hit Telangana on June 22

In a relief from the scorching heat, monsoon is likely to hit Telangana on June 22, said Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The state may witness rainfall from Thursday, said the weathermen.

The monsoon touched Kerala in the first week of June and it will reach Telangana on Thursday which is said to be delayed by 10 days. Meanwhile, the IMD predicted rainfall to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on June 24.

"Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana," said the IMD.
