Hyderabad: Moosarambagh residents get two community halls

Malakpet: The longstanding pending demand for community hall has turned into a reality for the residents of Banjara Basti and Prashant Nagar in Moosarambagh. Residents who have been representing the GHMC, expressed their gratitude for coming up with the much-needed amenity in the neighbourhood.

On Saturday, Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala, who remained steadfast in the efforts for the projects inaugurated the two community halls amidst the admiration from the residents of Moosarambagh. "As the residents of Moosrambagh division were facing inconvenience in organising small functions due to lack of community hall, several representations were made. With the active support from MLA, two community halls were sanctioned," said one of the residents.

Speaking to The Hans India Teegala Sunaritha Reddy, corporator Moosrambagh division, said that due to lack of community halls in Moosrambagh division and its surrounding areas, the residents were facing inconvenience. This problem was taken to the MLA and he sanctioned a total of Rs 32 lakh from MLA funds for the construction of two community halls in East Prashant Nagar and Sri Sri Banjara Basti.

For the community hall located in Banjara Basti an amount of Rs 15 lakh was sanctioned and for its further developmental works, the sewerage line was allotted by HMWSSB on instruction of MLA. MLA also instructed the concerned officers to take the estimation of 1st floor and soon the works would be taken up and completed as early as possible, said Sunaritha Reddy.

She also said an amount of Rs 17 lakh was sanctioned by MLA for a hall in Prashant Nagar.

Later on, Ahmed Balala conducted a review meeting with GHMC, HMWSSB, TSSPDCL, sanitation, horticulture officers and inspected the developmental projects and instructed the concerned officers to take up the works on priority and also to start newly sanctioned works. According to the officials, in Moosrambagh division around Rs 1.5 crore of developmental works were undergoing.
