Telangana News: Movie theatres across Telangana will be closed after the government issues an advisory, said the Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce.

The producers' council has held a meeting to discuss the closure of theatres in the view of the Coronavirus outbreak. The exhibitors and distributors said that they would go by the government's decision if it wants to shut down the theatres as a precautionary measure to control the spread of the virus. However, it is believed that the state may see a temporary shut down of theatres till March 31.

The producers, exhibitors, and distributors called the meeting after theatres have been witnessing low public due to the coronavirus scare. While the release of several movies is delayed, the fate of the movies being run looks uncertain.

Meanwhile, the government is yet to decide if the theatres, schools, and colleges are to be closed. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao asked the public to avoid social gatherings and urged them to keep as a low-key affair if necessary. A cabinet meeting has been called today in the view of the precautionary measures being taken up by the government.
