Warangal: Demanding proportional opportunity for backward classes, scheduled castes, tribes, minorities and some forward castes in the State Cabinet, the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) has planned to organise Maha Deeksha-2 in Hyderabad on October 13.

Addressing a media conference here on Monday, MRPS founder-president Manda Krishna Madiga said that the success of Maha Deeksha in Warangal on Sunday (September 22) demanding Minister posts for Madiga community is an indication that people from all walks of life want their representation in the State Cabinet.

"Although BC, SC, ST and minorities constitute 90 per cent of the Telangana population, more than half of the K Chandrashekar Rao's Cabinet is dominated by just two forward castes. This is a gross injustice meted out to the BC, SC, ST and minorities. Brahmin and Vysya communities have also got a raw deal in the KCR Cabinet," he said. In the combined Andhra Pradesh, legislators from almost all prominent communities became ministers, but KCR gave priority to only two communities, he added.

He said that MRPS is demanding KCR to induct Ministers based on pro rata of the population of various communities. "KCR, who gave importance to only two forward communities, diluted the ideology of Father of the Indian Constitution BR Ambedkar," Manda Krishna said.

The BCs, who constitute at least 50 per cent of the State population, were given only four Minister posts as against their rightful share of nine. The SCs got just one Minister post, based on their population they are entitled to get two more. And both the posts should go to Madiga community.

This apart, Koppula Eashwar should be made Deputy Chief Minister. STs and minorities have got one each Minister post whereas they are entitled to get two each. The other post given to the STs should go to Adivasis, Manda Krishna said.

He said that if KCR fails to set the composition of State Cabinet right, the MRPS will intensify its agitation for social justice. Mahajana Socialist Party national spokesperson T Pradeep Goud and others were present.
