MSP is payable to Telangana farmers only: JC P Yadi Reddy

Kamareddy: Joint Collector P Yadi Reddy warned the farmers of Maharashtra State not to sell their paddy in Telangana even if the price of rice is less that the price here.

On Thursday, along with Banswada RDO Rajeshwar, the JC visited the RTA check post at Salabatpur in the Madnur zone.

The JC has instructed the officials concerned to take action against illegal dumping of cash from Maharashtra into Telangana State and said MSP rate will be paid to Telangana farmers only.

He told MVI Deepti that it is more likely that paddy from Maharashtra to be smuggled into Telangana as the rates are very less in that State compared to those here. He told her to keep an eye on Maharashtra farmers. Madhur Tahsildar Ravinder and RTA staff were present on the occasion.
