Mulugu: Visual fiesta for nature lovers
Mulugu: It was a visual fiesta for 40 odd nature lovers who flocked Mutyaladhara waterfall in Nugur Venkatapuram mandal, close on the border of Telangana-Chhattisgarh border on Monday. The trek was led by District eco-tourism coordinator Kalyanapu Suman and other forest department officials.
Among those who trekked through the forest were a group of doctors, businessmen and teachers coming from Hyderabad, Karimnagar and Warangal. The trek which started at Veerabhadravaram village ended after visiting the waterfall through the picturesque environs of forest.
Dr G Narendra, a gynaecologist from Hanamkonda, who participated in the trek said that it was a lifetime experience. "Traversing through lush green forest and hillocks to reach the hidden waterfall was memorable," he said, thanking the forest department for organising such an event.
District forest officer S V Pradeep Kumar Setty said that Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts offer a lot for the nature lovers and it's a best laidback destination. He urged the tourists to avoid use of plastics as it is likely to endanger the lives of wild animals besides posing huge threat to environment.
Suman said that the forest department is organising ecotourism events according to the interests of the people coming in groups. A group should have at least 15 members, he added. he said that Rs 250 will be charged per head and it includes one meal. The interested tourists can contact 7382619363 for more information.
