Municipal chairman seat should be reserved to SC/STs

Tandur: Dalit Associations demanded that the position of municipal chairman should be reserved to SC/STs. They handed over a memorandum in the RDO office on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders of the dalit associations said there were no proper facilities in the SC colonies and no development was taken place. They said if the localities of the SC/STs would be developed if the municipal chairman was reserved to the categories. Leaders of Jai Bheem, Jana Chaitanya associations Venkat, Narsimhulu, Naresh, Ananth, Raju and others were present.
