Musheerabad: Students told to follow traffic rules strictly
Musheerabad: Traffic ACP KV Ravishankar has advised students to be aware of traffic rules to prevent increasing road accidents. Speaking at a road safety awareness programme organised by Hyderabad Traffic Training Institute at Radiant High School on Tuesday, he stressed the need for awareness among students on traffic rules to prevent road accidents. Awareness on traffic signals would greatly reduce incidence of accidents, he said.
Most of the accidents in the state were caused by drunken driving, driving without helmets and seat belts, he said. He warned students that parents of minors or those without driving licenses could be punished with imprisonment, apart from fines. He urged students to create awareness on traffic rules among their family members and help in preventing road accidents. As part of road safety campaign, students were briefed about She Teams and Dial 100. Chikkadpalli traffic inspector Prabhakar Reddy explained about the importance of traffic signals.
School principal Syed Ahmded Bhaktiyar, traffic ASI Anjan Reddy, programme organiser K Krishna Venkata Prasad, TRS leaders Anik, Qadeer and others participated in the programme.
