Mutharam: President gives best social service award to M Soujanya

M Soujanya receiving Best Social Service Award from President Ramnath Kovind at a function in New Delhi on Tuesday

Mutharam: Menthri Soujanya, resident of Kammapalli village of Mutharam mandal in Peddapalli district, received a national-level best social service award from President Ramnath Kovind at an award function in New Delhi on Tuesday.

It is to be recollected that for the social service she had rendered during 2015 to 2018, M Soujanya has been selected for this award. She created awareness among the people by participating in various social service programmes such as Haritha Haram, anti-corruption, Pulse Polio, AIDS awareness, Swachh and Green Bharath, Swachh Survekshan, digitalisation, pollution awareness, prohibition of alcohol and in Beti Bachao and Beti Padao programmes.

Recognising her services, the Central government had selected Soujanya for the Best Social Service award. She completed her Masters and M Phil from Central University in Hyderabad and is pursuing B Ed in Regional Institute in Mysore.

Kammapalli Sarpanch Samudrala Ramesh and her parents Narsaiah and Durgamma, and brother Sagar congratulated Soujanya for receiving a national level award from the President of India.

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Kiren Rijiju, National Service project officer P Vishnudev and others were present at the award distribution ceremony in New Delhi.
