My win a big slap to KCR, TRS: Jeevan Reddy
Karimnagar: Former Minister and Karimnagar Graduate MLC candidate T Jeevan Reddy emerged as victorious in the elections for Karimnagar-Adilabad-Medak-Nizamabad MLC constituencies held on March 22.
T Jeevan Reddy won with a massive margin of votes against his rivals - BJP candidate Sugunakar Rao, who stood in second position and TRS supported Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud, in third position.
Out of the total 1,95, 581 votes, 1,15,359 votes were polled in the elections. Of this, valid votes were 1,05,427 and un-valid were 9,932.
Of the total polled votes, T Jeevan Reddy of Congress secured 56,698 votes and Polsani Sugunakar Rao of BJP got 15,077 votes and TRS supported Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud got 17,268 votes.
The counting process started at 9 am on Tuesday and concluded at 4 am on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media at the Congress party office here on Wednesday, MLC-elected T Jeevan Reddy said that his victory in MLC elections is a big slap at the face of KCR and TRS leaders and urged people to elect Congress nominated LS candidates in the coming up LS elections to teach the TRS party a fitting lesson.
He assured the graduates, employees and unemployed youth, who played a key role in electing him as MLC, that he would try to solve all their issues they have been facing by raising the voice in the council.
Only 17 per cent of votes were polled for TRS-supported candidate Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud, which proved beyond doubt that about 83 per cent of intellectuals, employees and teachers are against the TRS in the State and are ready teach fitting lesson in coming up LS elections too, he said.
Meanwhile, it is to be noted here that the TRS also received major shock as it lost Teachers MLC seat in Karimnagar-Adilabad-Medal-Nizamabad constituency.
The PRTU supported Kura Ragotham Reddy emerged as victorious in the Karimnagar Teachers MLC constituency.
The TRS supported and former Teachers MLC Pathuri Sudhakar Reddy stood in third position in
the election.
