Nagarkurnool: 4 girls go missing from TWRGS Kalwakurthy
Nagarkurnool: Four girls have gone missing from the Tribal Welfare Residential Girls School (TWRGS) in Kalwakurthy of Nagarkurnool district on Saturday late night. The incident came to the light on Monday and the missing girls include D Pavani of Macharam village in Achampet mandal, D Rajeshwari of Amrabad mandal, Nageshwari of Rampurpenta from Lingal mandal and K Sujatha of Bellakal village in Balmoor mandal in Nagarkurnool district.
According to school Principal Vijay Ram Reddy, the four girls of Class 9 have gone missing from the hostel at 10 in the night on Saturday without informing the hostel authorities. Though the hostel is guarded by a lady attendant and a watchman at night, both of them were absent went the girls escaped from the hostel.
The next day, when the school principal came to know about the incident, he immediately informed the same to the girls' parents. The parents, after enquiring with their relatives, confirmed that the girls did not reach homes and have gone missing. The worried parents immediately rushed to the residential school, where along with the principal lodged a missing complaint with the Kalwakurthy police. The police registered a case and swung into action. The investigation is underway.
Even though there are CCTV cameras installed on the residential school premises, they have gone defunct. "We have identified the four missing girls and informed the same to their parents. They have lodged a complaint with the police. The investigation is going on. We have already suspended two employees, the watchman and the lady attendant, who were supposed to be on night duty. Because of their absence, the girls were able to leave the hostel in the night," said the Principal.
