Nagarkurnool: Girl abducted from Anganwadi united with parents

Nagarkurnool: The abduction of a 3-year-old girl from an Anganwadi centre in Kollapur mandal headquarters of Nagarkurnool district on Thursday created flutter among the public.

With the news spreading like a wildfire, the police immediately swung into action and launched a search. They could successfully trace the child and hand over to her parents. According to Kollapur police, Manasvini (3) was abducted by a mentally-ill woman from the 4th Anganwaadi centre.

It is believed the girl child who was playing on the open premises of the Anganwaadi centre was taken away by the mentally-ill woman while the Anganwaadi teacher was busy with her work.

However, soon after the Anganwadi teacher found the girl missing, she searched for the child but in vain. She immediately informed the parents who in turn informed the police.

Upon receiving the information, the police launched an intense search operation and could successfully trace the mentally-ill woman with the girl at Chukkaiahpally village and secured the baby from her.

The police have arrested the woman and booked a case against her for abducting the little girl.
