Nagarkurnool: Jupally Krishna Rao denies switching loyalties to BJP
Nagarkurnool: Former Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, speaking at a press meet on Tuesday, vehemently denied the claims of some social media groups that he was very soon leaving Telangana Rashtra Samithi and switching loyalties to Bharatiya Janata Party.
As it is already known that Jupally from Kollapur constituency has been accused of group politics in TRS party, wherein he had been at constant loggerheads with the present Kollapur MLA Beeram Harshavardhan Reddy, who had joined TRS party by winning as MLA on a Congress ticket earlier last year.
Recently, Jupally had even gone to the extent of defying the diktat of party chief K Chandrashekar Rao against whose wishes he had encouraged his supporters to contest from All India Forward Bloc Party for municipal elections against TRS party candidates and he even succeeded in winning 11 out of 20 counsellor seats.
However, his plans of meeting KCR after the elections had completely failed as KCR had denied an appointment, which led Jupally to put brakes to his ideas to make his supporter as municipal chairman of Kollapur municipality.
Ever since then, there have been rumours doing rounds and the social media is agog that Jupally was soon going to join BJP. However, Jupally had realised the repercussions and had taken course correction measures and held a press conference to clear the doubts of people and TRS party leaders at the helm.
While speaking at a press meet, the former minister said that he would not leave the TRS party and would serve under KCR until his last breath. He said some social media channels were deliberately spreading false information to defame him and distance him from TRS party. "I strongly condemn the false news being spread by some media channels. I am not the one who will jump parties for small and silly things as others are doing these days.
I have sacrificed my post of Minster during Congress party regime and jumped into Telangana movement and worked with KCR during Telangana movement. Yes, we have some differences in TRS party and I view them as small disputes in a family and they will get resolved as time goes on. I am once again reiterating I shall work under KCR and serve TRS party until my last breath. The people should not believe the false news being spread by some people," said Jupally during a press meet in Kollapur.
