Nagarkurnool: RTC workers intensify stir, confine buses to depots
Nagarkurnool: The RTC workers further intensified their strike in Nagarkurnool district and resorted to violence in Achampet mandal district on Wednesday. The RTC employees in Achampet mandal closed down the RTC depot gates and did not allow the buses to come out of the depot.
The Telangana RTC Employees Union in Wanaparthy district staged a protest at Dharna Chowk and raised slogans against the government. The Congress party workers and CPI and CPM party activists also expressed solidarity with the RTC employees.
In Gadwal , the RTC employees sat in front of the bus depot and stopped the RTC buses forcefully and did not let them ply. Almost all the buses in Achampet, Gadwal, and Narayanpet and Wanaparthy districts were confined to the bus depots. The RTC employees were given full support by the Congress, BJP and CPM parties. DK Aruna from BJP and Sampath Kumar from Congress and members of CPI and CPM parties also staged protests. In Kollapur, the RTC employees staged protest and took to begging. In Nagarkurnool, the RTC employees staged protest in front of the bus depot and did not let the buses to go out of the depot.
