Nalgonda: Gutha Sukender Reddy fires on district officials for not attending ZP meetings
Nalgonda: The ZP meeting witnessed heated discussions, arguments and complaints over the district officials, in which Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy attended the meeting as the chief guest, held at Udayaditya Bhavan at the district Collectorate here on Tuesday.
Devarakonda MLA Ramavath Ravindra Kumar and MLC Tera Chinnapa Reddy expressed their displeasure on the officials for not attending the mandal parishad meetings and for not submitting reports on the progress of welfare schemes. They expressed concern over the poor administration in the district. Rajya Sabha Member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav pointed out that several district officials also skipping ZP general body meetings and asked the Collector to take disciplinary action against the officials, who do not attend both ZP and mandal parishad meetings. He objected for sending subordinates to the meetings.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy directed Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil to direct all the officials to attend mandal parishad meeting and to respond to the phone calls of elected representatives, who contact them over people's issues from time to time.
District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil instructed all the district officials to attend mandal and ZP meetings without fail and directed them to save all the phone numbers of local representatives and to attend their calls without fail. He announced that a circular would be issued regarding attending mandal parishad meetings by district officials.
Addressing the meeting, Gutha Sukender Reddy said that the State is developing considerably under the rule of visionary Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the CM's special attention helped in strengthening the ZP system in the State. He assured of bringing the three resolutions made in ZPP meeting to the notice of the CM for necessary action.
He suggested the villages to develop by using 30% of funds provided by the Central government under NREGS. He advised government officials to work in coordination with local MPP and ZPTC members. He approved the resolution passed by the members over scrapping the new farm laws being introduced by the Central government.
ZP chairman Banda Narender Reddy presided over the meeting and MLA Bhaskar Rao, MLC Alugubellly Narsi Reddy, Additional Collector Rahul Sharma, ZP CEO Veera Brahma Chary, Deputy CEO Kanthamma, ZPTC members and MPPs attended the meeting.
