Nalgonda: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) founder president Professor Kodandaram advised the State government, being a rich State, to utilise all available resources to address the unemployment problem in the State.

On Tuesday, he attended as guest to a conference held in Nalgonda. Addressing the gathering, he said the unemployment problem could be addressed by establishing small-scale industries and food processing units in every constituency.

He demanded the government to fill all the vacant posts in government departments in the State by preparing a job recruitment calendar.

He further demanded the government pay unemployment allowance to all jobless as promised during the Assembly elections. Kodandaram suggested the government to sanction necessary funds to all pending irrigation projects in the interest of farmers.

He raised objections over Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao proposal of lifting Godavari waters in Krishna as Telangana share in Krishna water distribution was less compared to Andhra Pradesh. He advised the government to link Godavari to Krishna river belt canal in the interest of the State.

In this meeting, TJS district president P Gopal Reddy and a large number of unemployed youth participated.
