Nalgonda: Ministers pay rich tributes to deceased Sagar MLA

Halia (Nalgonda): Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukendar Reddy lamented that it was very unfortunate that Nomula Narasimhaiah was not among them. Along with Ministers G Jagadish Reddy, Eatala Rajender and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, he paid rich tributes to MLA late Nomula Narasimhaiah at a memorial meeting at Halia of Nagarjuna Sagar constituency on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering, Sukender Reddy remembered that he and Nomula were disciples of Nakrekal former MLA late Narra Raghava Reddy. Even though he and Nomula represented different parties, but always fought for people's issues since the day they entered politics, he added and informed that both of them were elected as people's representatives in 1999. Stating that Nomula Narasimhaiah was a committed people's leader, he informed that Nomula stressed on the need of Nellikkal and Kunkudu Chettu thanda lift irrigation schemes and Degree College in Halia during his meeting with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Sukender Reddy said that CM KCR likes Nomula Narasimhaiah and realised his genuine demands, hence sanctioned Nellikkal and Kunkudu Chettu thanda lift irrigation schemes and Degree College in Halia as a mark of respect to him.

ZP chairman Banda Narender Reddy, MLAs Kancharla Bhupal Reddy, Chirumarthi Lingaya, Bhaskar Rao, Ravindra Kumar Nayak, Jaipal Yadav, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Tera Chinnappa Reddy, former MLA Vemula Veeresham, Karn Prabhakar, Ramulu Nayak, BC Association President Jajula Srinivas Goud , ZP vice-chairman Peddulu, Nomula Narsimhaiah's family members, supporters and TRS workers participated in the memorial meeting.
