Addressing the officials, she said that voter registration must be done as per the rules laid by the Election Commission. Officials should pay special attention to ensure that all 18-year-old men and women in the district register their names in the voters' list.

The Returning Officers have been asked to download all the applications for online voter registration and take special steps to resolve the applications received offline, as there are six Assembly constituencies in the district and also to scrutinise each application and register the names in the voters' list.

"Examine the applications while removing duplicate, deceased voters, or those transferred from one constituency to another from the list of voters," she said, adding that after conducting all sorts of inspections, a meeting should be held with the Booth Level Officers at the Returning Officers to rectify any mistakes and ensure that eligible voters are given the right to vote without fail.

Facilities at polling stations in Nagarjunasagar constituency should be checked and ramps should be constructed at all the polling stations properly, she said. Applications for registration or removal of voters should be thoroughly scrutinised as per the procedure, said Anita Rajendra. District Collector Prashant Jeevan, Additional Collector V Chandra Shekhar, RDOs, Tahsildars and others attended the meeting.
