Nalgonda: SFI protests against the closure of 12,000 government schools
Nalgonda: The Students Federation of India district secretary, Mallam Mahesh accused the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government of diluting the government schools in the State by simply favouring the corporate sector.
On Thursday, the SFI activists staged a half-naked protest on the premises of District Education Office in Nalgonda against the State government's decision of closure of 12,000 government schools citing poor strength and modification in existing rules.
The SFI leaders, on the occasion, demanded the State government to roll back its decision and further demanded to provide more funds to education sector to strengthen the government institutes by providing infrastructure and own buildings.
SFI leaders Yerra Srikanth, Gunadala Anjaneyulu, Boggari Sukumar, Akarapu Naresh, Laxman Naik, Goli Shiva, Jai Ganesh and others participated in the protest.
