Nalgonda: In a tragic incident, a degree college student was drowned in Pangal reservoir in Nalgonda town on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Sk Ameer (20), resident of Srinagar Colony in Nalgonda town and student of NG College. According to sources, Ameer along with his two of his friends, Lateef and Chinna, went to Pangal reservoir. However, he accidentally fell into the waters while taking bathing on the steps. He drowned soon as he did not know swimming.

Even though Ameer's friends tried their best to save him, they could not. Soon after receiving information, the local police rushed to the spot and fished out the body from the reservoir.

Based on the complaint of Ameer's father, Shareef, Nalgonda Two Town SI Narsimhulu registered a case and took up the investigation.

Similarly in another incident, two siblings drowned in an open well at Palliwada village of Ramannapet mandal in the district on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as N Shiva Krishna (22) and Ramu (15), both sons of one Mallaiah. While Shiva Krishna is pursuing engineering in a private college in Hyderabad, Ramu was a deaf boy and a school dropout.

According to sources, the duo drowned in the open well while swimming. As the duo did not return home till evening, the family members searched frantically and found their clothes at the open well. Later, both the bodies were fished out by the locals.

Local police who rushed to the spot upon receiving information shifted the dead bodies to government hospital at Ramannapet for autopsy
