Nalgonda: Two killed in car-bike collision

Miryalaguda (Nalgonda): Two persons were killed in a road accident that took place on Narketpally-Addanki highway at Vemulapally mandal headquarters on Friday. The deceased were identified as Mallampati Veeranjaneyulu (58) and Gudapuri Srinivas (55), both natives of Miryalaguda town.

According to sources, the duo was heading towards Vemulapally from Miryalaguda on a TVS moped on some personnel work. When they reached Vemulapally, a car heading towards Nalgonda from Miryalaguda hit their two-wheeler on the rear end. Both Veeranjaneyulu and Srinivas suffered grave head injuries.

The duo was shifted to government area hospital in Miryalaguda where they were declared brought dead by the doctors.

Based on the complaint Veeranjaneyulu's wife, Laxmamma, the police registered a case and took up the information. The police later handed over the dead bodies to the respective family members after post-mortem examination.

Upon receiving information, Miryalaguda MLA Bhaskar Rao rushed to the residences of victims and consoled the bereaved family members after paying tributes to Veeranjaneyulu and Srinivas.

Man electrocuted Meanwhile, a person was electrocuted while carrying out electric work in an agriculture field in Adavidevulapally mandal in the district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Kavuri Vijay (37) of Adavidevulapally mandal. According to SI Naresh and the locals, on Thursday evening, Vijay went to agriculture field of a farmer Peddinti Kondal to fix starter box attached to the borewell motor. However, he was electrocuted while carrying out the repairing work.

On Friday, farmers, who found Vijay motionless in the agriculture field, informed the same to the villagers. Vijay is survived by wife and two children Manogna (4) and Kishore Kumar (2).

The dead body was sent to government area hospital in Miryalaguda for post-mortem. Based on the complaint of deceased person's wife, the local police registered a case and took up the probe.
