Narayanpet: Khajipur villagers demand revenue inspector for their village
Narayanpet: The villagers of Khajipur in Maddur mandal of Narayanpet have demanded the State government to immediately appoint a revenue inspector (RI) for their village. The villagers submitted a representation to the Maddur tahsildar in this regard on Tuesday.
According to Khajipur villagers, during the past few years the Revenue authorities failed to provide a Revenue Inspector, because of which the students, farmers and general public are facing tough time in securing various certificates from the tahsildar office.
"Over the past few years now, the government has ignored our village. They have not appointed RI to our village because of which the tahsildar officials are creating a lot of problems in issuing various certificates like income certificate, caste certificate and other certificates which are very useful for availing the government benefits. Particularly the students and farmers who are seeking caste, income, local certificate and resident certificates from the tahsildar office are not given the certificates as there is no RI for our village to take up the field inspections before issuing the certificates. Therefore we have demanded the tahsildar of Maddur to immediately look into the matter and appoint an RI and help us in issuing the certificates as early as possible," said M Sayanna, a local representing the villagers of Khajipur.
The villagers staged a protest in front of the Maddur tahsildar office and later gave a representation to Srinivas Reddy, tahsildar Maddur. Along with Sayanna, other villagers who participated in the programme include Venkatappa, Mahipal, Narasimhulu and others.
