Narayanpet: MPDOs, MPOs told to complete Palle Pragathi works by Jan 16

Narayanpet: District Collector S. Venkat Rao has directed the Mandal Parishad Development Officers and Mandal Project Officers to ensure that works taken up under second phase of Palle Pragathi were completed in the stipulated time.

Taking part in a video conference with the officials on Monday, the District Collector said that the MPDOs and MPOs must ensure that the works taken up under the Palle Pragathi are completed within the targeted period. The Collector said that every gram panchayat must take up plantation programme under Haritha Haram and ensure that planted trees are protected. Every village must develop its own nursery and every house should have a sink pit for conserving water. "By January 16, the officials must complete the works taken up under the second phase of Palle Pragathi programme and status reports of works must be submitted to the government," said the Collector.

The Collector during the video conference sought development status report from the concerned MPDOs and MPOs both mandal and village-wise. Kosgi MPO Neelima failed to provide proper details as per the set development parameters and was later issued a memo by the Collector for her failure to present the development report to the Collector. District Revenue officer CH Srinivasulu, Chief Executive Officer Kalindini, District Planning Officer Murali and others participated in the video conference.
