Narsampet : BJP calls to end TRS rule
Narsampet (Warangal Rural): There is a dire need for the emergence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a formidable force in Telangana politics, former MLA and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Revuri Prakash Reddy said. Speaking at a party meeting in Budhraopet village under Khanapuram mandal on Friday, he said that development of Narsampet Assembly constituency has come to a standstill in the last 16 years.
"The Congress which ruled for a decade did nothing for the development of the constituency. So is the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for the last six years. Before I got elected in 1994, the Narsampet constituency was marred with political violence. Thereafter, there was a sea change in the region," Revuri said.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is a master in hoodwinking the people, he said, referring to the unfulfilled promises of the TRS government. Alleging that KCR deceived all sections of people, he said that the chief minister has the uncanny knack of diverting the attention of people in the name of welfare programmes.
Several leaders, who had attacked the Telangana protagonists during the separate statehood movement, have been rewarded with plum posts, Revuri pointed out, stating that it was nothing but betrayal of Telangana martyrs' sacrifices. Time has come for the people to patronise the BJP for ending the autocratic rule of Chandrashekar Rao, and thereby to save the State from the clutches of opportunists, he mentioned. Leaders Jalli Madhu, Chityala Dayakar, Saleem, Srinivas, Kommu Ramulu, Kommneni Venkatnarayana, Gollapally Venkanna, Banoth Narsimha, Shareef Mohammad, Veeranna, Johny and Modem Vijay were among others who joined the BJP on the occasion.
