Nation needs qualitative change: KCR
Ramagundam: Continuing his tirade against Congress and BJP, Chief Minister and TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao on Monday said that the country was facing a lot of problems because of the rule by these 'sannasulu' (inept) and hence there is a need to bring a qualitative change in the country.
Addressing an election rally in Ramagundam for the Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency, Chandrashekar Rao targeted the Congress and BJP leaders for not using available resources for developing the country. "Both these party leaders are fighting by raising their sleeves... why? They want us to get confused.
Who ruled this country? The Congress and BJP have ruled for many years, there were some others, but these two parties did not allow them to work. This 'sannasi' will go and that 'sannasi' will come. Only the names of the scheme change from Gandhi to Deen Dayal. They did not use the resources because they are 'daddammalu' (idiots)," said Chandrashekar Rao.
The chief minister targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again asking him what he has done during the last five years. "What work he has done for Dalits and STs. We requested with Assembly resolution urging them to remove income tax on coal mine workers but they did not listen.
They will not do because they have ego as they think anyhow people will vote either of them. Why the Prime Minister has problems with jyothisyam (astrology)," he asked.
KCR said that someone had to challenge these two parties and he decided to take on the national parties. "I can be in power for next five years and keep quiet by continuing but someone had to take the initiative. If I had kept quiet for the cause of separate state, Telangana would not have been possible," said KCR.
KCR said that the country should have intelligent leaders for generating more income. The tax payers are evading taxes when they are asked to pay 30 per cent of their tax and governments in the country bring voluntary disclosure scheme asking them to disclose their 70 per cent income.
Indonesia brought the tax rate to 4 per cent and generated Rs 24 lakh crore. Similar step should be taken by the intelligent governments. He also said that about Rs 28-lakh crore are lying unused with RBI and Maharatna companies.
This money should be used for the development, but these parties don't have the ability to use them, he added. Even Modi's Gujarat is not providing 24-hour power supply to the farmers.
KCR said that fed up with the noise of the national parties, people were also not attending the meetings of Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi.
